A Light at the End of the Tunnel!

Great news: My counts are rebounding sufficiently so that, if all continues to go well, Hank and I can return home at the end of next week (around March 6 or 7). We are SO ready to get back to the kids! This photo taken at Rice by Hank says it all:

  2. I think I saw one of your daughters this morning at WAYA. I didn't say anything because I'm a stranger to her, I just looked at her and thought how much strength she is learning from you and Hank -it's hard to be away from your family for so long when you know they want to be with you too. Maybe it wasn't even your daughter, nonetheless, I thought of you and your family and look forward to reading blogs when you are together once again.

  3. Hi Sally,
You are truly amazing! I felt the heartbreak of your recurrence! Yet, you are so brave and ready to move forward with whatever it takes to keep you going. I too had the heartbreak of recurrence recently. I've been living in "seize the moment" mode and just returned from Italy. I've been doing quite a bit of traveling and enjoying life and loved ones to the max. Now I start back with trying various chemos once again. Hoping we hit on a good one first try!!

I wish you all the best and hope we can connect in person one of these days. I'll keep you posted as to when I return to Texas.
    Stay strong!!!
    Love,
    Vickie Lee
